Double flowering form of pinwheel gardenia, evergreen shrub to small tree with milky sap. Also called milkwood. Known for its showy, fragrant blossoms. Somewhat drought and heat tolerant. Full sun to partial shade.

Shrub to 20 feet, one of the most common hedges in Hawai’i; dark green, shiny leaves with white spots on margins. Does best in well draining soil as all moisture is from its roots, none from its leaves.

Erect woody evergreen shrub to 10 feet high; colorful, many-patterned leaves about six inches long; no two leaves are identical. In Phillipines, used to treat skin ulcers; in India, leaves are applied to scorpion stings. Full sun to partial shade Prune regularly to encourage new growth
