A slow growing tropical tree/shrub native to islands in the Indian ocean. It can also be grown indoors as a houseplant. It has dark green and chartreuse stripes on narrow leaves in a whorled arrangement. In the wild, it can grow up to 15-20 feet tall. As a houseplant, it can grow to 6 feet tall. The blooms are small clustered flowers that are very fragrant especially at night.
